Before-school care: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
After-school care: Our after-school care is open on:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 12:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During school holidays and study days, it is possible to purchase full days of after-school care, during which we are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Espira After-school care De Blokkentrein

Espira After-School Care De Blokkentrein is located in Roosendaal in the Langdok/Centrum district, close to the Stationsbuurt neighborhood. The after-school care center is within walking distance of both the train station and the city center and is directly adjacent to the Fridtjof Nansen scouting club and De Blokwei primary school. Thanks to this central location, parks such as Park Vrouwenhof are within easy reach. This is an ideal place for children to play outside and discover nature.

The children enjoy playing outside in the nature garden or going on adventures in nature. Inside, there is plenty of space for crafts, building, or playing theater together in the cozy living and play areas.

Our De Blokkentrein childcare location offers both daycare and after-school care (BSO). All under one roof; ideal for families with children of different ages.

Espira After-school care De Blokkentrein offers before- and after-school care and holiday care for up to 40 children. We work with two groups:

 

  1. The Travelers (ages 4-12)
    After a day of learning at school, this is the place to relax, play, and have fun together in this cozy, mixed group.
     
  2. The Conducteurs (8+ group)
    The oldest children can chill out with their peers, choose their own activities, and prepare for the transition to secondary school.

After school, your child will be picked up—on foot, by the electric after-school care bus, or by the after-school care minibus. The oldest children come on their own.

There is time to catch up with after-school care friends or just relax after school. We organize activities for the group, but your child can also choose what they want to do: crafts, cooking, painting, or reading in the beanbag chair. And of course, we go outside every day to play soccer, swing, build huts, or explore nature together.

Our educational professionals see learning opportunities in everything and give children the confidence to fall, get up, and try again. This helps children grow up with self-confidence, a sense of responsibility, and a love for the world around them.

With our after-school care packages, you can easily choose the care that best suits your situation. With our 52-week care package, your child is welcome on all care days throughout the year. Don't want care during the school vacation weeks? Then choose the 40-week package.

You can easily schedule a tour via our website. During your visit to our child daycare or after-school care, you will meet our educational professionals. You can get a feel for the atmosphere, see the rooms and ask any questions you may have. You can also register your child first. We will then send you an invitation for a tour.

What happens next?

  • Within a few days, you will hear whether there is a place available.
  • You will receive a placement agreement.
  • You sign this online within 7 days.
  • The placement is then finalised.
